The start of a new LoD arc for February

Image
You know, it sure has been quite some time since I drew these two. Doubly true for Harvey. I almost forgot about his existence!  So yeah, this is a new arc for February. I have.. exactly zero plans on where this will go, other than introducing a new character. I was also extremely lazy with the art, so you get some rather sloppy artwork here.

Arcade Talk 1 - Galaxian Hardware

Image
NOTICE: ALL CONTENT IS FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES. ALL CREDIT TO THEIR ORIGINAL CREATORS.   Ah, Galaxian. The game that popularized RGB graphics, the game that helped Namco set their stones on the arcade scene, the game that had its hardware reused 50 trillion times over-wait, what? Why yes, dear reader, Galaxian hardware has been used time and time again by all sorts of folks. But before that.. Hellllllllllllllllllllllllllllooooooo and welcome to Arcade Talk, a new series where I ramble on about arcade games. Why? 'Tis a topic that will forever amuse me, that's why. On Arcade Talk, you will find things like obscure arcade games no one has ever heard of, bootleg garbage that is interesting or intolerable, and other arcade oddities that make me smile. Today's topic is Galaxian hardware. That is Galaxian, released by Namco in 1979. A fairly simple space shooter in all accounts, however the game is rather impressive technology-wise. It was one of, if not the first game to use RG...

Now Presenting .. the Schnoz

Image
It may not be much, but it is a special one, and I'll tell you why: I reached uncharted territory with this one folks! This one is a color comic! Ooooo how surprising! Not like there's a bunch of others you can read on the net!

LoD for today + a little backstory on the comic

Image
Here tis!  Yes I do like the Midway Pac-Man the best. It clearly has potential, if it was given more expressions.  Anyway, backstory.  While I was making the first LoD comic, I had this idea of it sorta being this variety comic with all these random characters while still including the main characters. Clearly up until now I had not gone through. I even had a parody of detective films laying around (which maybe I'll show. Maybe I dunno)  So yeah, that's about it. Oh yeah, credit to Namco and Midway.

I'm tired

Image
Yeah, I am. I really am. I've also decided to make Grand Dad and Pals comics monthly and with more of a storyline for each one. So.. yeah, there's that I guess. Another thing too is that I've just started to draw comics on my PC. MS Paint gets a lot of hatred, to the point where it's kinda become the norm for someone to make bad drawings on their computer and for everyone else to call it a 'bad MS Paint drawing'. Hopefully this little comic will prove that not everything made with MS Paint is meme worthy or some garbage like that.

The First Two Grand Dad and Pals comics

Image
Yep, so I was watching a lot of Vinesauce recently (mostly Vinny, how ironic of me I know) and getting into SiIvaGunner so.. why not make a comic about a shared meme the two channels have: 7 Grand Dad?  For those not in the know, 7 Grand Dad is a bootleg hack of the NES game The Flintstones: The Rescue of Dino and Hoppy, with a ridiculous title screen change, and with Fred's head replaced with Super Mario's. I'm being 100% serious.  It was first found out by Vinesauce Joel, who started the meme, and then a few months later SiIvaGunner started jumping into the bandwagon, truly making it into a household meme.  All that leads to this very day in this very time period, in this very month, on this very specific amount of stress. A few days ago I decided to make a comic about the above baloney, sort of as a backup for if I didn't have anything for LoD.  Which I don't, but still.  Anyway, without any more preamble, the first two Grand Dad and Pals comics!! I fee...

The first LoD story "arc" complete

Image
I've done it!  There you all have it, my first story arc of this comic. It has taken me far too long to actually make an arc, but hey, I'm just glad I'm able to do this.  Also I'm on the tumbler place too, where I archive practically all the comics I've done over the years and months and days and weeks.  Alrighty, that concludes this post. See ya around!

LoD for today + a few things

Image
Yep. Somehow I got another one out.  I'm actually thinking of making a few changes to the LoD formula. I want to make it more about stuff I like and stuff I don't, all while keeping the main cast of the comics to this point.  Also, I've been putting the whole "making fun of AI stories" thing off for a video. Just saying.

ALIENS!!!!!

Image
Don't ask why or how, don't be confused, enjoy a funny picture of aliens! Aliens!! ALIENS!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Okay, on a serious note, I am wanting to do more drawings unrelated to the comic stuff.

Fan Comics that Came Before the Frog that Came Before the Birds (Part Two)

Image
Hello. You fine folks. How are you all doing? That's good. Anyway, I've got a lot to talk about today, and that's my comic history.  However..  First off, new LoD!!!  I'm continuing a story for once, what ya know.  Anyway, second, the thing you guys came here for. To see my atrocious fan comics that came before it all. You're here to laugh, I get it.  Before I show you all my works of modern fart, I will say this: I do not mean any copyright infringement on showing these to the world, not like anyone's gonna see em. I am just one lone fan who likes to draw stuff. Also, please please please support the actual good stuff and not my hacked out garbage. So yeah.  Anyway, first up, made in July '24, a few random comics featuring the cast of the webcomic Sabrina Online:  Aww, I love my "I just watched like one episode of South Park and I'm super super cool now" phase that lasted one month! I even copied the "killing Kenny" joke too! Isn...

The Frog that Came Before the Birds

Image
What am I even talking about? Well, I'll tell you. First, let me get my green tea.  Okay..  So, long before Legends of Dumbness was a thing (and I mean way long ago, it feels like), I had a little comic series starring a frog. A frog named Carl. Carl's presence was on March 2024, a while 7 months before LoD began. I had big plans for the little frog. I mean real big. I was expecting myself to pump out Carl comics as often as Garfield does. The only difference is, I'm on my own doing comics, while the Garfield comics are made, at least these days, by a big ol crew with more resources than me (I don't know about the earlier days when it was just Jim doing the comics, but ah well). I was so ready to get out there and pump these comics daily!! I was gonna do so successfully and win everything!! I had.. exactly two comics made of the guy. Yep. TWO. So much for pumping these out daily, eh?  Anyways, here they are:  Yep.  In retrospect, these are about as funny a...

January 1, folks. And a new LoD too!

Yep! You heard it here first and you heard it here now!
